First month exceeds SSM St. Clare

A retirement to be known as Aberdeen is slated to be built on theformet St. Joseph site, but has been delayed until theeconomy improves. St.
Clare’d new 54-acre campus at Highway 141 andBowlee Avenue, less than six miles away from the old St. Joseph, includez a heart institute, cancer care, outpatient center, outpatient diagnosti center andmedical offices. The facility includes 154 privatsepatient rooms, 30 emergency service exam rooms, eighgt operating rooms, 12 labor and deliveryg suites and 10 OB/GYN patient suites. Work is still unde r way on theoutpatient center, which is scheduled to open in The first floor of the building will house an outpatient surgery center, and the seconf floor will be physician offices. Finao buildout also continues in the medica l office buildingon St. Clare’s campus.
The building is almost 70 percentleased currently. Neighboringb hospitals said they have not seen significanf changes to their patient volumes sincwe the new hospital openedits , which is less than seven miles away from St. has not experienced a decline inpatient volume, accordinbg to Rob Thames, chief operatingf officer.
