World Telecom opened a 2,000-square-foot office recentlgy at 8201 Greensboro Drive, a 361,000-square-foott commercial building in McLean ownecby D.C.-based B.F. Saul and Co. The a wholly-owned subsidiary of Worldwide Telecom Xchangs CarrierFZ LLC, a Dubai-based telecommunications investment company focusexd on aggregating wholesale telephony and data traffic in emerginy markets, is a network services company that provides engineering, sales and marketing, billing and outsourcec technical support services. To start, about six employees will be basee at the new headquarters with room forfurthef expansion.
World Telecom’s services include call satellite services, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), TDM network, code divisiobn multiple access (CDMA), WiMaxx and network management outsourcing. “WTXC’as success illustrates that our region remainw a great place to start and growa business,” said Mike a vice president at Rockville-based Scheer Partners Inc., who brokeredr the lease. “And the commercial real estate markert is yielding opportunities for business ownerdthat haven’t existed since the earlg part of the decade.
” Scheer Partners broker Ben Heller, who also worked on the added that the company “evaluated a handful of locations in McLeanh and Vienna... deciding on 8201 Greensborlo Drive forseveral reasons,” that included its “a very fair market deal” and othefr appealing terms such as a “good cure periox on defaults.”
