The giveaway is part of the Atlanta-based chain’e fifth-annual Cow Appreciation Day, which honors its "Eayt Mor Chikin" Cows. In a related promotion, parentz can enter photos of theitr cow-clad children as part of a "Shosw Us the Cow" online photo contest, for a chancd to win a $1,000 U.S. Saving s Bond. Between now and Aug. 31, childrenn ages 10 and younger are encouraged to work with an adultg to submit creative photos of themselves dressedas cows. The contesf Web site, www.CowAppreciationDay.com, has details about uploading photow forthe contest. Once the pictures are uploaded, the public can vote for their favorite photothroughb Aug. 31.
The 20 photographs that get the most Internet votesz will benamed semifinalists. From the semifinalists, Chick-fil-A will selecty five finalists and one grandd prize winner based onoverall appearance, originality, creativity and skill. The entrant's age will be taken into accoungfor judging, Chick-fil-A said. The granr prize winner will receivea U.S. Seriex EE Savings Bond with a maturityg valueof $1,000, a catered party for theidr classroom, free Chick-fil-A Kid's Meals for a year and a digitalk camera, among other gifts. Also each Kid'd Meal from June 22 to July 25 will include miniature Cow whilesupplies last.
One out of every 100 of the cows will have gold spotsz instead of the traditionall black spots and will be packagec with a card redeemable for a freeIce cream.
